Fire compartmentalization / fire safety fixtures

Fire safety fixtures may never be compromised in their function! Fire doors must be kept closed at all times. Arresting fire doors in an opened status with wedges, cords, or similar invalidates the fire protection devices. This leads to an uncontrolled spreading of the fire, and augmentation in damages in the event of fire. Fire safety dampers in air conditioning and ventilation ducts are open at all times according to their purpose. Only in the case of fire will they close via automatic closing devices. No manipulations may be executed there as well. For warranting fire protection following the termination of cable or pipe installation work, all fire compartmentalization must be closed, and/or established, if applicable. Repair works lasting several days require a daily provisory compartmentalization daily with fire protection pillows. Under no circumstances may these openings be left unclosed.
