These must be checked by the plant fire department prior to each use. minimum equipment for personal protective gear protective clothing, consisting of choice of overall or work suit (i.e. pants and jacket or gown or coat), protective helmet, safety shoes, safety goggles at furnace and steel work. On the site of ArcelorMittal Bremen, protective headgear must be worn in the entire steel works area. In addition, wearing of protective clothing and protective shoes is generally mandatory in the production installations and on construction sites. Exceptions to the general mandatory wearing of safety helmets apply: in offices, control rooms (for example control stand, control room) in break rooms/recreational rooms locker rooms in parking lots in closed vehicles in open area and access roads outside the work areas and installations in general, the exceptions do not apply for employees performing maintenance and repair work at the listed locations! Inquire about additional mandatory wearing of protective equipment due to operations and work prior to start of work.
